Trevor Bilby set up Key Building Supplies Limited in the year 1983. He started the business while still working at one of the local collieries. He sold a small selection of basic building materials such as sands, gravels cement and blocks. After 5 years he took redundancy and concentrated on the business full time. With the local strong economy the business went from strength to strength specializing in heavy side materials then with the demise of the coal industry in the early nineties we expanded our range to include decorative garden products and we are heavily committed in this field and are carrying one the largest stocks in the North Nottinghamshire area.

The business started with just Trevor Bilby and one lorry which he loaded by hand, since then we have grown and today we have a small fleet of lorries, specialist lifting equipment such as JCB Teletruck, 4WD Teletruck with bag easy bucket and a New Holland Bobcat.

Over the years the business grew with the introduction of his family, Marilyn, his son Kirk and Kirks partner Beth, together with his daughter Stephanie and her husband Jason.

Our friendly staff can provide you with estimates and advice and we also provide a free, same day delivery service throughout the local area. Some of our vehicles also have a crane off load facility.
